Every slot has its own pieces, Unique versions and effect pool. Start with the slot you need to fill.
Armor sets
Every Regular set has a Unique counterpart built from the same armor family. The set is the effect pool — the Unique pieces are where the fixed effects live.

Set names describe an armor family. Two sets can share a Weight and still roll different effects, so check the effect pool before you commit.

How armor effects work
Armor effects follow three steps. Understanding them is what makes two pieces with the same Weight behave so differently.
Step 1
A set groups pieces that can roll a certain group of effects. That pool is the real difference between sets.
Step 2
Every piece can roll effects from its own pool, so two pieces of the same slot and set can still end up different.
Step 3
A Unique piece also carries one fixed effect that is always on it. That effect, not the gold border, is the reason to farm it.
Select an effect to see every armor piece that can roll it and which sets it belongs to.
Regular vs Unique
Switch slots to compare the Regular and the Unique piece of the same armor family side by side.

A Unique shares slot, Weight and effect family with its base, so the fixed effect is usually the deciding difference.

Mix or match?
No. Slots are independent, so mixing pieces from different sets is a normal way to collect the effects your build wants.

Open the Farm FinderBest armor
There is no single best set for every build. What matters is which effects a piece can roll and which fixed effect a Unique adds.
Point 1
Compare effect pools first: a wider pool means more chances to roll what your build needs.
Point 2
Check the Unique fixed effects: they are the only guaranteed part of a piece.
Point 3
Match the set to what your build is doing, not to a ranking.
The tier list page ranks armor by real build use and effect value, so this hub can stay a factual browse and decision page.
