One Purchase, Xbox and PC

A digital purchase through the Microsoft Store on Xbox or Windows can be played on both with the same Microsoft account, without buying it twice.

A Steam purchase does not grant the Xbox or Microsoft Store version. Xbox Play Anywhere applies to Microsoft Store digital purchases.

Can These Platforms Play Together?

Pick two platforms to see whether crossplay applies, then check the full crossplay guide for setup.

Crossplay support

Yes

Full crossplay guide

Crossplay is supported, but online play still needs each player to meet their own platform's online requirement. Account and friend setup is covered in the crossplay guide.

Moving Between Devices?

Pick what you are trying to move. Ownership, hero progress, DLC and cosmetic rewards are owned by different systems.

A Microsoft Store digital purchase can be played on Xbox and Windows PC. A Steam or console store purchase stays in that store.

Check purchase rules

I Bought It But Can't Play

  1. Step 1

Which platform and store was it bought from?

  2. Step 2

Is the Xbox app, Microsoft Store or launcher using the right account?

  3. Step 3

Is the license visible in that store on that account?

  4. Step 4

    Still missing? Open online troubleshooting.

A missing purchase is usually an account or store mismatch, not an online problem.

Edition decision

Standard or Deluxe?

Both editions include the base game. Deluxe adds cosmetics and the two expansions.

  • Standard

    • Base game
    • 2 base hero skins
    Physical edition
    No
  • Deluxe

    • Base game
    • Soul Cape
    • Blub Pet
    • 4 additional hero skins
    • DLC 1
    • DLC 2
    Physical edition
    Yes

Standard owners can add the Deluxe content later with the Deluxe Upgrade.

Choose where to buy

This page shows what each edition contains, not live prices. Prices vary by region, store and promotion.

Physical or digital

Physical or Digital?

Physical and digital copies are not available in the same editions.

  • Digital

Standard and Deluxe, from the platform storefront.

  • Physical

Physical copies are only available for the Deluxe Edition.

Physical availability varies by region and platform. Check the store before assuming a boxed copy exists.

Feature lists come from official store pages. This page does not rank which platform is best, and it does not publish FPS or resolution claims that are not verified.

Handheld and compatibility

Steam Deck, Handheld and Linux

Compatibility status is version-sensitive and can change after an update.

  • Steam Deck

    Current status
    Playable
    Known limitation
On-screen keyboard support may be missing

A game update made the Steam version playable on Steam Deck. Full Steam Deck verification is still being worked on.

  • Linux

    Official native support
    Not currently listed
    Known limitation
Compatibility layers run outside official support

Official system requirements list Windows only. Compatibility layers may still run the game, but that is not native support.

    Linux compatibility help

Steam Deck status can change after an update, so it is dated. This page does not claim full Steam Deck verification.

Troubleshooting

Having a Platform Problem?

Pick what is happening, and this router sends you to the page that owns the fix.

Platform issue or game bug?

  • Expired subscription → platform requirement
  • Sign-in error code → error code help
  • Steam Deck keyboard missing → platform compatibility
  • Crash after a patch → crash or update help

These owners are different, so a platform problem is not always the same as an online or crash problem.
