Where You Can Play

Subscription
Which Game Pass Access Applies?
Cloud play can require Game Pass Ultimate, and some plans only stream games you own. Plan rules change, so check the current plan before you subscribe.

Access vs ownership
Game Pass vs Buying
Game Pass
Subscription access. The game is playable while your qualifying access is active.
Buy digitally through Microsoft
Xbox Play Anywhere: one Microsoft Store digital purchase plays on Xbox and Windows PC.
Game Pass access is not ownership. If access ends, you need to buy the game to keep playing.
Xbox Play Anywhere applies to Microsoft Store digital purchases on the same Microsoft account. Other stores do not grant it.
Editions
Standard vs Deluxe
Game Pass gives base game access. Deluxe cosmetics and DLC are a separate purchase, and Game Pass members can buy the Deluxe upgrade.
Standard
- Base game
- 2 base hero skins
Deluxe
- Base game
- Soul Cape
- Blub Pet
- 4 additional hero skins
- DLC 1
- DLC 2
Prices change by region and over time, so this page does not list one. Check the current store price before buying.
Multiplayer
Multiplayer requirements
Online play needs an active online service on the console. Game Pass access changes how you get the game, not the multiplayer rules.

Access
What Happens If Game Pass Access Ends?
Access stops when your qualifying subscription ends. A Microsoft Store purchase does not depend on an active subscription, so buying the game is the way to keep playing without one.
This page states platform and account rules only. It does not state prices or plan terms that change.
Troubleshooting
Game Pass or Purchased Game Not Showing?
A missing game is usually an account mismatch, not a Game Pass outage. Check that every app uses the same account.
- Confirm the subscription or purchase on your Microsoft account.
- Check the account signed in to the Xbox app.
- Check the account signed in to the Microsoft Store.
- Check the account signed in to the Minecraft Launcher.
- Align all three to the same purchasing account.
