What Does Piercing Do?

Piercing is an enchantment in the Attack category. It applies to Ranged gear and triggers when you use Projectiles. Its effect grows from Tier I to Tier III.
Tier Progression
Every Book enchantment runs from Tier I to Tier III. Each tier improves the same effect, so the tier text shows exactly what changes.
- Tier I
Projectiles can pierce up to 1 enemies.
- Tier II
Projectiles can pierce up to 3 enemies.
- Tier IIIMAX
Projectiles can pierce up to 5 enemies.
Projectiles can pierce up to 10 enemies.
A Unique Gear version is not Tier IV. It is a separate, stronger version built into specific Unique gear and cannot be reached by upgrading a Book.
Tier upgrades raise values such as damage, duration, count or chance. They are upgrade levels, not rarity colors.
How It Triggers
A trigger is the player action that fires this enchantment. Some enchantments support more than one trigger.
