What each tier does

  • I

    Potion usage grants 30 souls.

  • II

    Potion usage grants 45 souls.

  • III

    Potion usage grants 60 souls.

Tier values describe the effect only. They do not prove that a specific item can reach that tier, because the minimum Item Power rows are not recovered.

A shared trigger is a starting point, not proof of a strong combination.

Slot rules

Which slots each enchantment can use

Enchantment applicability is defined for melee weapons, ranged weapons and armor slots. The checker covers 232 concrete gear candidates.

Melee

One-handed and two-handed melee weapons.

16 enchantments

Ranged

Bows and crossbows.

10 enchantments

Armor (Helmet · Chest · Leggings · Boots)

A generic Armor enchantment fits any armor piece, whichever of the four slots it occupies.

14 enchantments

Chest

Chest-only enchantments fit chest armor and nothing else.

1 enchantments

Enchantments that support both weapon slots

7 enchantments list Melee and Ranged at the same time, so both keep the second slot instead of collapsing to one main category.

Ender Mines · Healing Smite · Shadowcloak · Shielding Smite · Swirling · Tempo Theft · Thundering

Chest-only enchantments

Bottomless Brew is the only enchantment with a Chest-only edge in the recovered model. On a helmet, leggings or boots it is a wrong slot.

Data coverage

How this checker answers

Slot eligibility is closed, which is why a wrong slot gets a definite No. Item-specific exclusions and minimum Item Power rows are not recovered, which is why a match stops at slot level.

Rule coverage

  • Slot rulesAvailable
  • Unique ruleAvailable
  • Item-specific incompatibilityPartial
  • Minimum Item PowerPartial
  • Enchantment costNot recovered

Nothing on this page is upgraded to full compatibility while those rows stay unrecovered, so a slot match is reported as a slot match.

Unique rules

A Unique tier is not a normal Tier IV

The recovered model separates three enchantment families. Only the first one behaves like a normal Book enchantment.

22 enchantments with Tier I-III

These are the collectible Book enchantments: find the Book, apply it, upgrade it through three tiers.

10 with a Unique tier

These show I, II and III plus one stronger row recorded as Unique and tied to Unique gear. The model never treats it as a fourth regular upgrade level.

Cow Stampede · Dynamo · Fire Aspect · Gravity Pulse · Piercing · Ricochet · Shadowcloak · Shielding Smite · Shockwave · Swirling

2 Unique-only

These have no Tier I-III rows and no collectible Book, so they are not something you apply and upgrade from a Book.

FAQ

Enchantment compatibility questions

Short answers to the questions players ask before applying an enchantment.

Can any enchantment go on any item?

No. Every enchantment carries recovered slot edges. Melee weapons, ranged weapons and armor are separate families, and one enchantment covers only the edges the game data records for it.

Which enchantments can go on melee weapons?

Use the item mode with any melee weapon: the checker lists every enchantment whose edges include Melee, including the ones that also cover Ranged.

Which enchantments work on ranged weapons?

Use the item mode with a bow or crossbow. The list is narrower than Melee, and the same shared-trigger relationships apply.

Which enchantments work on armor?

A generic Armor enchantment fits helmet, chest, leggings and boots. Chest-only enchantments fit chest armor and nothing else.

Can Bottomless Brew go on a helmet?

No. It is the only Chest-only enchantment in the recovered model, so a helmet, leggings or boots is a wrong slot rather than a missing rule.

Why can't I use an enchantment even when the slot matches?

A slot match is the part the data closes. Other requirements, including item-specific exclusions and minimum Item Power, are not recovered, so the checker cannot confirm or rule them out and points you to the Enchantsmith for the progression side.

What are Unique enchantment tiers?

Some enchantments have one stronger row recorded as Unique instead of a fourth regular level. It is tied to Unique gear, not to a normal tier upgrade.

Can I apply a Unique enchantment tier myself?

The recovered data does not describe a Book path for it. Treat the Unique row as attached to Unique gear rather than as something you roll out of a normal enchantment book.

What are Unique-only enchantments?

They have no Tier I-III rows and no collectible Book. The checker labels them Unique-only instead of answering a tier question it cannot verify.

Does Item Power affect enchantment eligibility?

The game schema has a minimum required Item Power, but the row values are not recovered, so this tool reports that requirement as not verified instead of inventing a threshold.

Why does the checker say Compatible by slot instead of Fully Compatible?

Because only the slot layer is closed. Item-specific incompatibility rows and minimum Item Power rows are missing, and this tool refuses to print a green result for a rule set it cannot read.

Does the checker include enchantment costs?

No. Cost rows are not recovered, so no point or currency total is shown.
