Soul Storms run on a fixed duration and cadence, but a verified schedule anchor and region rotation are not published yet, so this page will not guess a live countdown.

Unlocked by completing The Final Souldown.
Every number on this page comes from the frozen production tables for the Soul Storm system, including Echo Shards rewards. Nothing is inferred from a video guide.
Unlock
Have you unlocked Soul Storms?
Soul Storms are an endgame system, not a story region. One quest opens them, and everything else on this page assumes you have finished it.
Check your quest log
Check your main quest log for the unlock quest. If it is finished, Soul Storms are available in eligible regions.
This is a self-check against the recorded quest chain. The page does not read your save file.
Timing
When do Soul Storms run?
These are the recorded event values. They describe how Soul Storms are scheduled without claiming a live region, because the schedule anchor and rotation are not verified yet.

- 20 min
- Cadence
- 40 min
- Eligible regions

- Generator spots

How long they last
A Soul Storm stays active for a fixed window, long enough to travel in and break all three generators before it ends.
How often they run
Storms start on a fixed cadence rather than a random timer, so there is always a next window to plan around.
Why there is no live countdown yet
A live tracker needs a verified schedule anchor, a verified region rotation and a verified override behaviour. Until all three exist, this page shows the timing contract only and will not render a countdown that might be wrong.
If the in-game schedule ever disagrees with this page, trust the game and check the update tracker.

Where Soul Storms can appear
Soul Storms can affect eligible regions in both the Overworld and the Sift. Pick the region to open its guide or its storm map.
Overworld
The Sift
Each region lists how many generator spots it can roll. One storm still only asks you to destroy 3 generators, so treat the region totals as the spot pool, not the objective.
Objective
How a Soul Storm works
Each storm is a short, focused objective rather than a full dungeon run. You travel to the active region, break three generators, and collect the rewards.
- A Soul Storm begins in an eligible region
- Travel to the active region
- Find the first storm generator
- Fight the wave and destroy generator 1
- Open the generator chest for gear and currency
- Repeat until all 3 generators are down
- Open the completion reward chest
- Collect the final storm reward
The three-generator objective is the recorded storm goal. Generator difficulty and its shield behaviour are covered further down the page.
Generator locator
Find the generators
Pick the region the storm is in to see how many generator spots it can roll, then jump to the map for the exact positions.
These are the reported possible generator spots in the region, not the number of generators one storm asks for. Exact positions live on the interactive map.

0 / 3Generator difficulty
How hard is the generator?
Not every generator is the same fight. The difficulty of the generator you draw changes its shield behaviour and, on completion chests, how much gear it guarantees.

Less common
No shield phases recorded for easy generators.

Less common
Shield behaviour
- Shield chance
- 16%
- Shield cooldown

Hard generator

How is this calculated?
The rolled generator difficulty is a weighted pick between easy, medium and hard. Medium and hard generators can raise a defensive shield on a cooldown; the odds and cooldown below are the frozen generator values, not a region-wide rule.
Generator difficulty is separate from world difficulty and from region threat. Raising world difficulty does not change the generator weights, and a hard generator does not make every enemy in the region shielded.
Preparation
Prepare for a Soul Storm
A storm is a short burst of pressure, so a build that only wins long fights can still struggle. Run through this short list before you commit.
- Your gear matches the region's recommended level
- You have enough healing or sustain to survive waves
- You can handle grouped enemies, not just single targets
- Your build can burst a stationary target
- You have a movement or defensive option to escape pressure
Build pages carry the actual loadouts. This checklist only flags what a storm asks of you so you can pick the right one.
Rewards
What a Soul Storm pays
A storm pays twice: once from each generator chest, and again from the completion reward. Both keep guaranteed drops, optional rolls and the published average apart.
Generator chest
Every generator you destroy drops its own chest. The chest always pays a guaranteed amount, then rolls extra currency on top.

Storm completion reward
Clearing the storm pays a completion chest whose size scales with the reward tier. Higher tiers guarantee more gear items and, at the top tier, more Echo Shards.

Enhanced salvage
Gear that comes out of Soul Storm rewards salvages for 2x its normal value, which makes a storm a strong source of upgrade materials as well as gear.
Guaranteed amounts and the published average are different numbers. The average already includes the optional rolls, so it is never a promise. Specific gear acquisition stays on the item pages.
Risk and reward
Should you run this Soul Storm?
A storm is worth running or not depending on what you want out of it. Tell the page your goal and it will say whether this activity actually serves it.
A strong endgame gear source
Storms drop gear from every generator chest and a larger completion chest, with enhanced salvage on top. Specific items still come from their own source, so check the item page before farming.
The verdict reflects the system as a whole, not one specific storm. It never promises a specific item drop for your goal: Better gear.
Why a storm can pay off
- • Each generator pays its own chest before the storm even ends
- • The completion chest scales with its reward tier
- • Soul-corrupted enemies raise the Echo Shard opportunity
Troubleshooting
Why isn't a Soul Storm showing?
Work down this list in order. It covers the real reasons a Soul Storm seems to be missing.
Have you finished the unlock quest?
Soul Storms stay locked until you complete the unlock quest. Open the quest guide and finish it first.
Open the unlock questAre you inside an active storm window?
A storm only runs inside its active window. Check the timing contract above and come back when the next window opens.
Review the timingAre you in an eligible region?
Storms only appear in the seven eligible regions. If you are somewhere else, no storm will spawn there.
See eligible regionsStill nothing, or the schedule looks wrong?
Schedules can change server-side without a client patch. If the game disagrees with this page, check the latest update before assuming a bug.
Check the latest update
The first check is always the unlock quest, The Final Souldown. If you have not finished it, no storm will appear anywhere.
Completion
Which storms have you cleared?
Track which of the eligible regions you have already cleared a Soul Storm in. This is a session checklist, not an account achievement.
